It looks like Fredricksburg with 11 votes cast. I really thought we could get more interest with all the Commanders in and around this area.
I guess we'll leve the poll open for another 24 hours and then work out the date.

OK then... Fredricksburg on Feb. 18th. That gives everyone a little over a month to plan ahead so I hope we get a good turnout. If we can start getting confirmations, I'll keep a running list so we can see where we stand as we get close.

Just called the Hangar Hotel. Fredericksburg is having a Winter Karneval (German Mardi Gras) with a convention at the Hangar Hotel that weekend.
Looks like it could be a weekend adventure. Arrive Friday leave Sunday.

Just a thought for a bigger crowd. I voted for T-82, but how about we get together for for that good old BBQ at 4F2 and then the overnighters fly on to T-82 after a visit and a full belly?

I'm trying to finish up my Annual this weekend and get her in the paint shop right after. If I can pull it all off in time I'll show wherever. Would be great to put some faces with names!

Just talked to the hotel and they have over half the rooms available (I believe it is a 50 roomer). If we get enough interest I can try to get us a "special price" on rooms.

Yup. finish up in Monterrey, Mexico on Friday afternoon. Would actually prefer Sunday, or if Saturday more like lunchtime. Have to get back through customs and all somewhere. My little sister lives just south of T82 in Boerne.

German Mardi Gras.... Ian, you are from New Orleans, how will this work? Do we bring beads? I can make a float out of 297J but I'll need to recruit some cute German girls in Dirndls who can ride on the wings.
Sounds like a great time / place for a fly in, should be plenty to do and see and the hotel does make it a little easier for long distance flyers.
