Hi all.

Heading there next week. Any experience with it/things to watch out for etc?

Thanks

Fly early..... We've been getting daily afternoon thunderstorms here in FL. And watch out for the Low building in the Gulf

I always find Fla Airspace to be very busy, Doable, just busy . .
I'd look at a fuel / stretch stop at KBQK via DBN (to avoid a couple restricted areas) then fly down the coast line. Looks like one Warning Area W135 to deal with then fly through / under Daytona Beach Class C.
Recommend flight following which should keep you updated on things ahead.
Don't know anything about the FBO (fees??) Looks like a fun trip.

I like your quote, I used it as a toast to our unit Chaplin at one of our formal dining-ins years ago.

Thanks all.

Yeah, I am clear on morning travel. It is also the same in the South in general with T Storm buildups.

I agree on the busy traffic. There are so many med-large airports in a cluster on the east coast. Makes for interesting and heads up/eyes bulging travel.

I always fly flight following. Without exception.

Yeah... I like my quote. Sums up things well :)

Well.. KEVB is a nice airport in the event anyone ever goes. Pretty non eventful trip minus yet another cranky FL controller and a sh-t ton of storms on the way down.

What was likely the best find was a little airport in deep southern GA. KBHC. Highly recommend. Cheap gas. Family operated field. Newer building AND... they have not only a comp car but a comp apartment in the terminal lol. How cool is that?

We didn't stay but it was offered.

Jason,

I went to Baxley on my tour of FBO building, here at Dawson we are building an exact cop of that building, Fantastic place. I bet you can remember the Wi Fi code.

Life is a barrel of fun.

That's cool you know the place Ken. Yeah... it is a very nice building and it reminds me a great deal of 6I2 just south of me.

The manager was saying that they are about to repave the whole place. I hope that does not impact the gas prices.
