On Saturday night after dinner, we are going to have a "Yankee Swap." Please bring any aviation related items you'd be willing to give away if you'd like to participate! Commander specific items are a bonus!

I know our vendors are bringing some nice things to give away, so you'll definitely want to be in the mix!

Re: Fredericksburg Fly-in "Yankee Swap"

Here is a bit of trivia, early this year Bob Hoover, who I is recognized as one of the Worlds greatest pilot, celebrated his 91x Birthday with friends Neil Armstrong and Cmdr. ret. Eugene Cernan among many others at the Hangar Hotel. So some of you might just be lucky to sleep in the same bed etc.

Should the northerners in attendance be offended at the use of the word "Yankee" in this context?

Re: Fredericksburg Fly-in "Yankee Swap"

As a Yankee in the South let me clarify for Frank and David (according to my Southern born and raised wife). A Yankee is a Northerner that moves to the South or is visiting. A Damn Yankee is Northerner that moves to the South and marries a Southern girl.

Re: Fredericksburg Fly-in "Yankee Swap"

I would like to donate a pair of glycol fuel flapper springs to the Fly-In since I can't make it and will be in Boston for the weekend, and thought you could have a raffle or auction for a pair of them and donate the money to COG or any other cause you see want to and I am naming Judi Anderson in charge, and she will bring a new pair to the fly in.

Since there isn't enough time get a pair of them there I am hoping Judi will bring a couple, and I will send her a couple of more as replacements as she says she has been wearing them as earrings and look great.

Probably would look better on her if they were Gold Plated, but I guess she likes the Silver Jewelry.

Paul, I told you I already sold those to a friend.
but wished I had a doz more. put some glitter on them and hang fm the Xmas tree this year.
