I'm pretty close to Ken ... 11J is 1,912 @ 104.80.
The airplane was weighed '85 and tipped the scales at 1,846 lbs. The large majority of it's weight gain were three modifications ... SB-112-70A, 71C, and 72A account for 23 lbs, moving to the 3-Blade Propeller added 17 lbs, and the Hot Shot added another 26 lbs. All the other puts and takes have pretty much zero'd out.

I am very nose heavy, Sven fixed the cowling where it will never need working again. and of course 82J has everything possible on it.

I seem to recall most of the [extra] weight in 82J was in insulation and replacements of the lines. There was very little factory insulation (sticky aluminum tape, but not much) that year, so that addition was almost exclusively an increase in weight. And the stainless lines weigh roughly 2.5x what the aluminum weighs, and that added up fast.

He also replaced the rear plastic panel with a beautifully detailed and padded panel. Must have weighed 15lbs by itself.
He told me once he knew he was putting the pounds onto the plane but he didn't care - mostly flew by himself.
As opposed to Robin Miley who took every nut and bolt out he could. I believe he even cut down the steps to reduce weight and drag.

Just sitting in his hanger. I think the registration is expired. He has chronic medical issues, so will probably never fly it again.
