New VREF valuation figures.

The amount depreciates every year. After 10 years it adds just 10% of that figure. Kinda dumb really - shouldn't depreciate below around 50% - there's no way, or reason to replace it, so why would it lose that much value!

Do I need to notify out local tax assessors,

Have not followed 112/114 appreciation the last few years esp since the covid ramp up of homes boats cars planes etc. how representative is Vref these days to the actual market? TY

From my experience and anecdotally gathered info, Vref tends to be a little on the high side of the market.
Perhaps Judi can add some expertise on the subject as I believe she has a different service that is more "real world"..
FWIW

$116K for a 1977 114 is (in my opinion) down right laughable. I believe the number to be in the 125 - 135 range minimum. Call around (including Judi), get the prices for the latest transactions including the spec differences between those sold aircraft and you own and go from there. Do your own research. $116K may be for a plane with the original paint (needs repainting) / original interior (needs retrofit) / original panel (needs upgrading) / 4,000 hours (probably more hours than your 77 114). Your airplane is probably nothing like that.
