Hi All,
Aerodyme announced 17 service kits at Jekyll Island for a combination of ordinary maintenance, and solutions for chronic problems, including:
Shimmy Dampner (seal kit for ordinary maintenance)
Nose Torque Knee (nose scissor) (to cure the shakes)
Gascolator (seal kit for ordinary maintenance)
Nose Door Hinge (short doors, aft hinges)
Nose Door Lift Stop (to stop damage to nose actuator)
Nose Drag Link (brace) (believe me, it's worn out)
Nose Actuator Attachment (ditto for many)
Engine Control Ends and Boots (helps save your control cables)
Gear Limit Switch (comprehensive kit for doing it right)
Elevator Push Tube (clunk, clunk, clunk)
Empennage Hinge Bushings and Bearings (the whole tail)
Flap Actuation (flaps getting loose?)
Flap Hinges (ditto)
Main Gear Shoulder Bolt (bet you wonder what this is)
Some of the parts are standard that you can buy elsewhere, but the kits are always convenient (even for my mechanics). Do you want to pay a shop to look up parts in the IPC, solve the mysteries, and order everything in... or just hand them a kit? The convenience includes:
1. List of required parts... included!
2. Instructions for orientation, special notes, etc... included!
3. Hard to find items... included!
4. Impossible to find items... included!
5. Minimum-order items... included!
6. Extra parts that result in a better solution... included!
7. Technical assistance from Aerodyme... included!
I have attached the overall sheet depicting the kits, and the price list including the fly-in special discount column. We will extend the 10% discount for all purchases until this Friday, Oct 1. We'll try to get all this info into our website revamp fairly soon.
If you are interested in any particular kit, I will email you the kit datasheet.
Your support for this initiative is much appreciated. You WOULD NOT BELIEVE how much time this took to pull together, with more work to come to add additional kits (any suggestions?) and to put this all on the web. With your support, we can continuously shop for better prices and keep on solving obsolete parts issues.
