Gear Checkvalve

The spelling on my part was correct when I put it in, It's that dam spell correct app. that changed it when I wasn't looking. LOL

I did finally got ahold of her today, of course there out of the check-valves. Waiting to see if they can get me one now.

Hi All,

When we arranged the group buy of valves in 2014, we bought some extra but sold out of those earlier this year.

The price-quantity curve from the manufacturer is pretty steep on these, so the group buy saved everyone some meaningful money.

And also, of course, the manufacturer will likely discontinue the 7116-2 at some point as they did the -1.

So, another group buy may make sense.

I'll watch here to see how many of you might be interested.

This valve is used in the gear system of 112's s/n 381 and subs., and all 112B, 112TC, 112TCA, 114, 114A, 114B and 114TC.

We include all the installation seals when we ship out the valves.

Jim

I am interested in x2.
I am on my original. Will replace it when this comes in and keep one as spare.

Interested to see what the early bird price will be. I’m likely down for one.

I am going to change the check valve either way but I am leaning on the power pack that's my problem now, The schematic read a check valve inside and other things that could cause my gear to drift down. I already checked everything up to the power pack that was rebuilt with a new motor awhile back that burnt out.

Can you describe your symptoms.

Gear drifting down could be due to -

- a leaking actuator
- a leaking e-dump valve | or slightly open e-dump valve
- an internal leak in the pump powerpack - sending the fluid back to the reservoir

Yes, I changed the actuators seals and checked for blow-by. Yes, I checked the Dump valve and the 7116-1 check-valve. All that's left is the internal stuff in the power pack and have to have it rebuilt or would rather have the new and improved Powerpack installed. But of course, they're all out of them.
I guess Aerodyme has to get a bunch of them in order to get the New and improved Power Pack.
the problem I'm having is the right main starts drifting down and the power Pack turns back on and off. When power is off the right main drifts down first, followed by the left then nose gear.

Found a dealer near me that has the 7116-2 for $297.00 I am sure that's not my problem though I will still replace it anyways. Also I found someone on ebay that just sells the pop-it valve for the 7116-1. for $38.00 looks the same as the one I have. I will try it and let everyone know if it's any good and give you guys the #number.

I had the same problem just a few weeks ago and had my powerpak rebuilt fixed it.

Thanks for your input and that just gives me a little more assurance I'm going in the right direction.

Les, what was the company that you found a 7116-2 at for around $300?

Anyone have a spare they want to part with?

Aerodyme had some replacements while back, though I don't recall if it was a special purchase or something they were planning to keep in stock.

Oh ... just checked and see Jim's post at #83 above, from last year.

resurrecting this thread on checkvalves. looking for two # 7116-2.
