Re: 2015 Annual Commander Fly-in Events Schedule!

Another update.

I just got some samples of the 2015 COG Fly-in commemorative caps that we've had created. These looks great! Check out the attached picture - and while you can't buy these anywhere each registered attendee will receive one as part of their welcome package.

Second, if you've attended in the past you probably know that we typically have sponsors and vendors who generously donate items which we raffle off. One in particular I wanted to mention this year is a very generous donation of a Pilot's Portrait Shoot - an in-air photo session by a professional photographer. This has been donated by Phillip Angert and would normally cost you $1500. Good luck to everyone on this one! (more info and some beautiful pictures at http://pilotportraits.com)

Lastly, we will be doing a Yankee Swap again this year. What's a Yankee Swap you ask? We ask everyone to bring a small value item (less than $25) to donate for the swap. Think maybe an oil filter, an odd used Commander spare part you have kicking around the hangar, a good flying book you've read, some of that polish you recently found, etc. Then at the awards banquet on Saturday night, we have a ticket for each registered COG member that's in attendance. We select an item at random, pick a member at random, and they can take that item or they can take what someone else has already got, in turn giving them the item we just selected. As you can see, being last in this case is the advantage. Lots of fun.

if you haven't registered yet, there's still time - link here!
