Welcome Kurt, Glad to see you didn't buy into the rumors. Commanders are great airplanes and no more difficult to maintain than any other aircraft. Mechanics just need to reference the maintenance manual. You will also find a wealth of knowledge here.

I always end up buying the plane that's on the other side of the country. Meet the CFI their, you could put on some hours flying it home........

Nice article, but as far as orphans go, Commander's still have pretty good support, Aerodyme, Welsh machine, COG etc.
