Charlie,

I picked up a 112TCA late last year and have it based at KAEG. When looking for insurance my broker told me Old Republic wouldn't provide a quote due to the elevation of my airport...???

Who do you use for insurance and what broker do you go through?

Thanks,

I manufacture the GUCV. Are you talking about the Gear Down Check Valves? I have a valve manufacture that is already making a replacement that requires a slight plumbing change on aircraft. But you can send what you have.

Not sure which one you need but, I have a down switch.
I just recently had the up switch installed.
That company made mine and they are outstanding. They are easy to work with and will set the up and down pressure for you. Forget how long it took to get -- it was not fast. Give them a call and give them the pressures. I had them mark the up and down switch so that I did not get them mixed up.

I am all set at this time. Thank you Frank.
Hi Ken,

Can you send me a picture of the bulkhead connection that Sven made for your brake lines in the wheel well? Thinking about replacing my crappy, bent up lines.

Thanks,

Carl
HI Jan, Could you please send me the contacts for these CFI's ( CFIs San Diego area and SAC area.) I'll ask each one of them. I even contacted the company "National Pilot services" and our Wings rep in SoCA. But have not gotten any response. The two option that I had last year have not come thru at this time. Thank you for your help. Tom

Nice switch, I just have a few concerns. It is 1/4 NPT, we use 1/8th NPT. The unit requires a special connector that you would need to wire into the electrical system. The one I am looking at uses three 6-32 screws that can take crimp terminals and doesn't look like it will not work in the Piper and Commander applications as a dual-purpose pressure switch. I am looking for basically a plug and play switch in both applications.

Thanks for the information. It may be an option?.
I would like to attend this year's Fly-In.
Can you point me to the information so I can begin to make plans?

Thanks dvanbeek
Hello all, just joining as the NEWEST MEMBER of COG (7/19/24)--in purchase process of acquiring N4538W from long time owner Joe Westermeyer--112TC. Having owned Mooneys, Malibu, Pilatus PC12, C510 Mustang and M350, am looking forward to many hours of flying my new ship-- So glad to be amongst ya folks! raf@rafamedia.com - URL: RAFAMEDIA.COM Best, d
Hello, I apologize if this has been covered before. I have a 114TC and when doing my weight balance I can not fill the fuel tanks and have only myself (185lbs) in the plane without the COG being too far forward. If I put close to 100lbs in the luggage compartment then I am within the envelope. I was going to buy some sand bags and keep them in the hangar for this purpose and I know I can go with less fuel but I am wondering what others have done to address this situation.
Ken,
this is Robert adams, you helped Joe Matthews and I on our pre buy for our commander 112tca a few years ago.
i am now in the Augusta area and have met bill Morin. He has purchased a 112 hot shot and has having some issues. I thought you would be the person to talk to if you wouldn’t mind. At your convenience Robert Adams 9126602800.
just replaced engine and not achieving 2700 rpm (2550). Seems to run rich. Will run rough at idle and cut off.
thanks
robert
