Rob, good morning. I am a CFI that is helping my student pilot out. He bought a Commander 114 to train in and his aircraft is currently in the shop for engine upgrade. That being said, he previously had a partial upgrade done to his panel that included only 1 G3x 10" screen as the shop doing it said no to the second screen it wouldn't fit. I have since show them your picture and curious to know 2 things. 1. How much work did they have to do to move things to get the 2nd G3x in there. 2. How did they get field approval on the rocker switches, as the shop said we couldn't get those rockers as they were not STC'd. It may be we just need to fly it down to Daytona, but would prefer not have to do that. If it is easier to discuss via phone, please feel free to reach out to me @ 7043632985. Thanks sir....Brian Flaherty
Does anyone know about the upper turbo clamp for the 112 TCA that needs to be changed per the AD and the cost varies depending on the serial number. they quoted me $3,000 and it must be changed at my next annual in November
Pete

Been trying to get in touch with you to see if you might be available for Breakfast and a BFR.
The number I have for you doesn't seem to work.

Good morning, This is Jeff Johnson. I live in Lisle, NY and fly out of N03 Cortland, NY. I am a student pilot and started flying in 1999 then I had a career change and stopped. I had 35 hours with some solos. I started flying again in July, 2024 and have 64 hours TT. I am looking for a 112TCA to continue my training. Good Flying!
Good Morning Adam,
I will check at my hangar today but I believe I have a "New Old Stock" gauge for you.
As I recall I had a similar issue a few years ago and went from "Can't find One" to ending up with 2 of them!
I'll message you back either way.
I have been pleased with the vibration and noise levels. Don’t have a direct speed comparison but Carl Lee may be able to weigh in with some tech data. When compared to the stock prop, the MT also helps with W&B on the 114. (Decreases any need for baggage compartment ballast.). All being considered, I wouldn’t hesitate to replace it with another MT prop.

Thanks for the reply, will look further into it…

Phil, All Commander owners are lucky to have someone as knowledgeable, kind and dedicated to our fleet as you are. I did buy your knobs which is a handsome easy upgrade.
I took have a 112, mine is serial #391 which I assume I could use a gear check valve as a backup. If you have any more available, I would like to purchase one.
Thanks again for all you do!
John
This is Pat Greber and I will be the owner of a 112b within the next 2 weeks. I am hoping you might know a CFI with time in a Commander that can help me get a specific complex endorsement for a commander (insurance requirement)
Thanks in advance Pat and fyi I am based at N87 Trenton Robbinsville

Hi Pat and welcome!
Please feel free to reach out to Dennis Pyszczymuka (yes that is spelled correctly) pronounced "Pizmooka"
He's a Gulfstream Global Express driver for work and is also a CFII and all around great guy (and 112A HotShot owner)
He is based @ 1N7 Blairstown I believe.
I'll send his contact to you
Phil, reading up on replacing placards and saw your offer to help out other COG members. I have a newly recovered center console all the way up to the throttle quadrant. It is done in a faux leather material. Would your system work with that material? Thanks. Larry

Larry, Sorry I use to be a software developer … as such I kinda hate computers and don’t get online much anymore ..but yes ….and I am more than happy to help in anyway i can! Just let me know what you need and I’lll take care of it!
Don,

When you get to the segment w/ Jim Richards showing the removal of the main gear strut, please send me a copy. Have an AP working on a Commander that would love to see it. Raw footage will be fine.

Thanks again for a great fly-in. Well done.
Hey Ed, any chance I could get the STL file for the Bose Brain Holder with pen and battery slots?

Chris
HI Joel...new guy Dick Foreman---taking delivery of my 112TC this week and want to do your strobe upgrades....Whelan part number on-line doesn't seem to work--can you confirm and also what the tail beacon part# is. Thanks! {"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/hoster3.commander.org\/vb\/filedata\/fetch?id=206693&d=1727350501"}
Keith,

I called Enterprise today to check on cars being delivered to T82. They had yours and mine slated to go to the Kerrville airport instead of T82. I had them switch both cars to T82, so if there was a reason you needed to pick it up at Kerrville, you’ll need to call them and change it back. Or I'll come get you, if that was a mistake. Sorry if I screwed up your plan!

See you tmrw,
Don
Did you find a vacuumed pump? I have one with approximately 300 hours. I know It’s low 300 but can look for an actual number. I would like 100 shipped.

I already had one installed, thanks for the offer!
Finn,
Beautiful airplane. I might be interested in it - but I have to admit the prospect of buying it and then paying to have it ferried to Texas seems a bit daunting to me.

What are you asking for it and can you send me some details?

Hi Stephen, I sent you a mail with some info. Also I have checked the process for changing hands. It will get a fresh annual inspection to FAA standards and deregistered. Next you will register it with the N-number you like, after which a local FAA DER will issue an Airworthiness Certificate. Then you are ready to get the insurance in place and 5 minutes later it can fly home. This is what I was told by some people here that does that all the time.
I found out the part number for the fuel pump is Weldon 8120-C. Thanks for the help!
