The story goes this way...
Sven was [of course] in Big Piney in person to work with Robin on the installation. When it came time for the nose gear doors to be -- ahem -- modified for the light a brief conversation ensued. It was mostly expletives in Long Island and Wyoming accents. In the end they both agreed that it would be best not to install the nose gear light. As you know, neither of them were ever opinionated individuals.
Sven would be extremely pleased to hear the gear door modification process has been improved.
On a related note, I really miss the random calls Sven would make out of the blue to talk politics or avionics. He was taken from us way too soon.
Regards,
Neal
Hi Carl. Is it this type that you have - WR-693-B Wing Root Seal 12 Ft Package ?
If anyone would like a copy of the wing root fairing instructions, email me and I'll send them to you.
Just did another run of these and have an extra set, if anyone is interested.
Carl
Are you still manufacturing the wing root/ tail fairings?
Great product!
Hi Fred,
Yes, getting ready to do another run of them. Just waiting for a few more interested parties. I need to do them in sets of 4 or 5 to make it cost effective.
Yours look awesome by the way!
Carl,
Mine came on the plane when I acquired it. However there are a row of countersunk screws/washers about every 10"s or so that secure mine.
Very satisfied with the streamlined look.
