What agreat day! thoroughly enjoyed it, was able to put a face to all the names we see on the forum, everyone was younger than I imagined, perhaps it's because I'm so old.

Dear John and offcourse your best half

thanks for your initiative and all your efforts for organising todays event. It was a very impressive turn up even though the weather initially was not very good.

We all got a chance to speak to one another and I certainly had some interesting talks.. I believe everybody had. If anything I did not get to speak to everyone and offcourse it takes a bit to know who is who and what Commander he or she flies and what interesting story is behind that.

You should be very proud of yourselves. We definitely enjoyed it and Kemble offcourse has some very interesting things going on .. like aerobatics, jetfighter and even something that looked like the modern version of the first aircraft...

I hope that next meeting will be a meeting where we will so also more nationallities and maybe a setting were one can enjoy a bear or a glass of wine.

Having said that .. I would propose that we set about organising the next European Commander meeting somewhere central (probably France) so that the germans, french, spanish, scandinavian etc etc Commanders all join in. We could let it coinside with for example a wine or champagne tasting and make it an overnight stop.

Flight back was fine this morning -pretty cold start though. Quite a contrast to the sleet and snow up here and then the rain and poor vis at Kemble yesterday. The Water Park Hotel was a good recommendation. I got some excellent dawn photos.

John, thanks for organising the get together. A great day out, and great to meet everybody. The weather improved nicely, and Kemble was pretty busy. Nice to see one of the Hunter jets in action.

A meeting more in central Europe next time is a superb idea.

.. and a big thanks from Nigel and I (N115MD). It was great to put a few faces to names and generally talk all things Commander.

Very impressive photos of all the Commanders in attendance. I notice that, like our US fly-ins, you folks over there can't get the airplanes parked in straight or parallel lines either.
