I'll be there... I plan to leave Thursday morning for SnF. Who else is going ? Maybe we can plan to meet at Dan's. Thats if I get my plane fixed..Lunched starter today. Should be a non issue I think. Sky Tek has a fast turn on repairs normally

Jay we are planning on going if I get over these damn chicken pox. We are going to leave third afternoon or early Friday morning.

I will be there on Tues.-Sunday. May try to go to the Friday night invitation but not sure yet.

I went to Dans party last year and it was a big hit anyone that is there should try to make it.

I was there last year too, it was great; Dan´s is a great host. Unfortunately, I cannot attend this year.

I was also at Dan's last year; hope to make it again this year. Is that motor home paint job for real, or just a clever photoshop?

I plan on being there with Bob Mixon. That is if our hydraulic power pack makes it back in time. If not I will probably drive there but that will wipe out half the fun.

A heavy storm with strong winds hit the Sun 'n Fun aviation fair at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport, causing "extensive minor damage and reports of minor injuries," but "all persons so far have been accounted for," said Sgt. Terri Smith of the Lakeland Police Department.

ORNADO Strikes Sun ‘n Fun

The $100 Hamburger team did not transverse the short distance between Orlando and Lakeland this morning due to harsh and deteriorating weather conditions. It turns out that was the right decision. We are in contact with many folks who are on the scene. Things are very bad at the moment and still very confused.

Powerful winds, severe thunderstorms and some tornadoes have been sweeping across Tampa Bay and central Florida. A major cell hit Lakeland Linder Field the site of Sun ‘N Fun without warning. At least seven people were injured when a tent collapsed after severe storms moved through the Lakeland Regional Airport during an air show. Several people (perhaps 70) are reportedly trapped inside a building that has collapsed on the Sun ‘N Fun property. Many, many planes were flipped during the storms. Hangars have been damaged with doors been blown in. There is massive damage all over the field. Many ambulances have arrived to assist the injured.

We are NOT onsite and are working hard to assess the full extent of this tragedy. Let us all pray for those who have been directly affected. If I can get in tomorrow I will provide first hand reports.

Anyone heard if the guys from here are OK?
I have just been reading the reports sounds like that was one hell of a storm they had.
I hope they are all safe and sound.

when subjected to horrific winds, notice the perils of owning a high wing...:(
