Noted two AirCam aircraft on the "severly damaged/destroyed" listing. Hope George and Sydney Weber came through it OK. Current claim is no severe personnel injuries. Thank goodness for that.

Wow, this is incredible! I was there yesterday (Wednesday) and I recognize several planes and vendor tents that were severely damaged. The weather around Lakeland has been bad all week - heavy rain all day Monday, thick fog Tuesday. Wednesday was okay, just hot, but the storms moved in late in the day. Now this. It is a real shame since many of the smaller vendors in tents appear to have lost everything.

I guess she prefers Texas tornadoes and hurricanes to Florida's tornadoes and hurricanes!

Nuts, those aircams look like they'd be spectacular to fly low and slow over any interesting ground. Hope they had insurance.
 
There was a row of about a dozen planes, completely destroyed. The AirCam exhibit was odd in that the damage was so intense in one small area. The parking areas were drenched and muddy. It took us over four hours to get from the highway to the parking lot; should have been 30 minutes. Once in, we had a great time and met the Moody's, but I'm afraid a lot of people will be going home with no intention of ever returning. No one's fault, but not GA's week to shine.

Just returned from Sun n Fun. Went down of Friday with beautiful weather. Sun n Fun staff did an amazing job getting the airport cleaned up after the storm. It was sad to see damaged aircraft being hauled off on flat beds. We were told the number of 69 aircraft damaged. The F22 demo was amazing. The Blues spectacular as always. Friday night was able to meet up with Dan Moody for his cookout. Great food and better company followed by the night air show. Saturdays weather was just as good. Overall a fantastic experience. Glad we waited til friday to go:)
