Thought about trying to go, but after the Grand Canyon adventure I’m in recovery(wallet) mode. I have a touch of a cold too, kinda works since I’m on vacation for a while longer.

I am going tomorrow early am (Friday, April 5th) and Saturday and return Saturday late afternoon. I will be flying but a group of us are going down in a Cesnna Twin. I am hoping to get some more Wings credits and will Uber out for my meals more than likely except for the breakfast... Will look for the Commanders and those I recognize from Augusta Fly-in last year.

Went yesterday and saw zero Commanders. Walked 6.17 miles while there over 6 hours and saw a lot. Only spent about $200 so it was a GREAT day. Oh, and the Blue Angels were doing their thing directly overhead for over an hour. I'm kinda spoiled because I live 15 minutes from the field and the drive is uneventful.

Walked around all day thur and didn't see any signs of commander life? Although I did find a near new Kennon aircraft cover. Whoever used to own N6024P thanks! Very sad to see the type club tent full and not one commander sign or pamphlet. I know it's a number and logistics issue, but bummer none the less. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

Was able to 'link-up' with Mike for a few Min's . .
Blue Angels were Great, night show was good but a GPS snafu scrubbed the Drone's act.
No Holding on the arrival, "Commander with the bright LED's - Cleared on in and enjoy the show". That's a first, not having to hold around the lake . .
IFR coming out, worked as advertised but on roll-out the field went VFR and they cancelled all our IFR clearances, having us go back to 1200 squawk then individually renegotiate with Tampa for a new clearance. Just seemed odd . .??

I watched the Blue Angels both Friday and Saturday afternoons. Attendance seemed to be sparse this year, probably because of the weather. I think I saw John's 114 earlier but no tent and no people when I walked by.

Rolf, I was only down for Friday departing on Sunday morning. Vendors hangars looked full as did folks checking out the exhibits / display aircraft. But the days I was there the aircraft on the field looked sparse in comparison to other years. Usually the picture above (Jay's) the parking to the right is full across the field.
