Oshkosh

Re: Oshkosh

Pam and I will be there

Re: Oshkosh

I am going commercial this year.. is there a meeting or airplane parking point, I would like to meet some fellow commander owners and their planes. I'll be there Sunday 28th -thursday 1st 3:00.

Re: Oshkosh

We normally meet at the Bunn's on the flight line in the North Forty and have dinner at Fratellos Waterfront Restaurant on Sunday. Also known as the Fox River Brewing Co. Bunns will not be at Oshkosh this year. If someone on the flight line would invite us, we can meet at their plane and we can drive.
We will be at Oshkosh Saturday until Tues or Wed. We have made multiple reservations and we are not sure where we are staying.

Re: Oshkosh

I plan to be in the North 40 Sunday through Wed evening and would love to eat dinner (in the air conditioned!)

Re: Oshkosh

I live about an hour from Oshkosh. Been lurking here for awhile and doing research on these wonderful looking birds. I went last year and walked around ALOT looking for any Commanders. I'd like to get up close and 'touchy feely' with one just to get a good up close and personal look. Pictures are one thing, but the real deal will help me finalize my decision. I hope to run into a few of you, and then join the club as a fellow owner soon after.
I'll plan my visit accordingly to when several of you will be around.

Re: Oshkosh

When I finally got to climb in to the left seat of a Commander that sealed the deal for me. I new I had found the perfect bird for my mission cross country.
I plan on being there as well Sunday or so till later in the week depends on how much fun I am having. Just look for the biggest tails in the north 40.
Hope to get to chat with you I just bought mine in March.

Re: Oshkosh

I'm in Milwaukee now and definately will be there on Monday the 29th. I am driving up early in the morning and if anyone needs a ride to get there call me @ 928-533-2100...planning to stay the whole day and for the concert Monday night. Hope to see a lot of COG members!!

Re: Oshkosh

Weather & escrow-closing schedule permitting I'm still planning on attending OSH this year with my new acquisition - "Wheezy".

Things are a "bit buggered up" with an old lien release that needs to be properly recorded so the schedule is pretty much a guessing game but hopefully arriving no later than mid-week. Hope to connect with other Commander owners/enthusiasts during the week.

Re: Oshkosh

Roger; if you're not doing the old release w/OKC escrow, let me know. I'll run it down for you on Mon.

Re: Oshkosh

If anyone will be there Thursday after the show through Sunday morning, please email me: scott@truen.com or call 248.390.0773. Seems like most like to go early, Saturday through Wednesday. It seems to me that things are a little bit more calm later in the week. Anyway, that is what always seems to work with my son and my schedule.

Re: Oshkosh

526AW will be there Thursday

Re: Oshkosh

Latest weather forcast is 74' on Monday and between 72-80 for the week..should be nice not like 3 years ago when the place was flooded the weak before the show

Re: Oshkosh

Folks,
Thinking about flying up to OSH later in the week for the day with my family, but I'm a little nervous about the approach into OSH and also getting out in time to be back that evening with the airspace closing for the airshow.

So has anyone ever flown into Fond Du Lac and taken the shuttle? Or Appleton? Thoughts? Do they fill up as well?

Thanks, Dave

Re: Oshkosh

Been into Fond du Lac as a diversion for OSH and it does fill up; but you can usually call ahead to see where it will be best to go. Shuttle works fine.

Re: Oshkosh

Just arrived OSH
Bkn 2500
Traffic is very slow for Saturday

Re: Oshkosh

Hold the slow traffic! I'm rolling at 6 am for the 1340 nm run looks like a good 30 knot tail wind way up high plan is telling me 8.5 hrs but wait I have to come down for fuel. I should not have a problem making it before closure at 8 pm even after losing 2 hours of time zones. Looking forward to the adventure.

Re: Oshkosh

Pat y'all have fun

Re: Oshkosh

Guys,

Wish I could join you at KOSH this year. Unfortunately, too much work. Enjoy the show. Should be really fun.

Re: Oshkosh

I am on the north side of runway 27 in the north 40 row 559 close to the road. This event is packed good weather helps I suppose. I can see one Commander on the south side of 27 with my binoculars will stop by today see if anyone is home. Any others here? Drop a line to your location or cell number mine 5098604164.

Re: Oshkosh

OK you lucky folks a OSH.

Please check out Hartzel Engine Technology. Booth 1053
From my research they have the internal parts for the Prestolite HYC 5005 power pack. Not the prop folks.

They are the latest in a string of owners for the Prestolite pumps.

the web site does not list hydraulic pumps but they claim to be the OEM of the Rayjay and Garret tubo's. In fact they claim to make them.

Push them hard, I think they make the parts for others.

LIfe is a barrel of fun.
