Hartzell Engine Technologies bought out a bunch of the product lines from Kelly Aerospace.

Planning to do a day trip into OSH on Saturday. Arrive AM and depart before the airshow. Hope to run into some of you.

Anyone have the scoop on trying to fuel up at the field?

Brian..was there on opening day and saw your plane from the bus that transports people to that side of the field..sorry I didn't make contact, but good to see your plane. By the way, it was the only Commander I saw

N-1383J was on row 540 in the North 40 Thursday thru Sat AM, only saw one other Commander but I can't recall the full N-#, 112 something or other.

I did fly into Fon Du Lac on Saturday just for the afternoon. It was quite easy, in and out.

Many thanks to Scott Sedam for taking the time on Saturday to show me around N4843W and sharing some very good info about Commanders in general. Very nice aircraft, and the best news is that I actually fit at 6' 5"!!

Saw a 112 landing on Saturday morning also but didn't see where it parked.

Yes, flying with Blue Sky Aero out of Morris. I actually live in Ottawa 20 miles away, but it's the closest available flying club / flight school. I do hear Lewis all the time on the radio since we use the same frequency.

And BTW.. what's up with that? Can't they spare a few more frequencies for CTAF?? ;)

Mike,
At times you will hear a LOT of Lewis traffic, they have their University aviation program running out of their, and they tend to go out in bursts. I will message you with my email, maybe we can get together.

Great to meet you, Mike. My son is 6'5" as well and he has no trouble at all, you still had a couple of inches clearance. Well, you outweigh Conor "substantially" but you and I were sitting next to each other in the cockpit and no troubles at all. So call Judi and buy a Commander!
