New to the group!

Hello Everyone! I'm a newbie to the group. My bird N1058J is a 1973 112. She now has 81 TT original hours since new on it. Looking forward to the Branson Fly-In. It's gonna be a whole 10 minute flight for me to get there from my home base 18MO.

It’s quite the story. We are the original owners because we bought it from the dealership that had it as their showroom piece since manufactured back in 1973. The owner of the dealership kept it as his baby for many years and never sold it. It only had 33 hours on it when we purchased it three years ago. He basically only flew it in '93 to have all the A.D.’s done at the factory. Between flights, he completely filled the engine with oil to pickle it. It’s amazing but the engine does not make metal and does not leak oil. Neither does the prop. It’s been a project in some respects… New gear pack new hoses, new mags stuff like that, but all in all it flies great! Needs paint and interior updated.

Pretty amazing piece of history you got there. Sometimes the truth is better than fiction and I would have never believed there was a plane that old with so few hours. Good luck with it and welcome to the group if I didn't say that before.
