Re: Great Lakes Fly-In Jan 3 or 4?
Been out of commission awhile. For Christmas I got a nasty eye infection, both eyes that they think began viral and then got a secondary bacterial. Very painful, spent a couple of days in the dark, but definitely on the mend now. Had to hit the eyes every hour with one of 4 different drops/gels for 48 hours straight. My ex-nurse wife kept did the honors so I did not have to sort it all out. Anyway, follow-up with Doc this AM and she said I should be fine to fly by the weekend. Sounds like Sunday may be better, but sounds like most are flexible. Let's wait till Thursday or so and see what WX looks like in the forecast and then we will make a call.
p.s. most everyone realizes and has been annoyed by the fact that commercials on TV are much louder than the shows. Did you also know they are brighter, as in more lumens? I never did ... until this eye infection thing. I would be watching a movie and all was fine, then a commercial would come on and I had to avert my eyes -- too damn bright. Virtually every commercial, every time. Makes sense I guess ... another way to perk you up and get your attention so you will notice what is happening in the commercial, but never realized that part of it till now.
