EASA SuperStreams

Re: EASA SuperStreams

I would be interssted too...:D

Re: EASA SuperStreams

That's a good question, is it like warp drive??

Re: EASA SuperStreams

any news to that project?

Re: EASA SuperStreams

there was a meeting of EASA in Rome just couple day ago, and one of th attandents that i know reports that EASA is working with the FAA to accept each otheres in both ways certifications, STCs etc...
It seems now that there is a good chance in the very near future that for exciting US STCs there is no seperate EASA certification nessesary.
However - thats what i understood, the OWNER of the STC has to apply for that at EASA - but as mentioned way easier than before. Maybe (guessing) its just bit of paperwork, to transfer officially an excisting US STC into a EASA STC.

Jim, how are you going to handle that - specially for the 8knot mod - i really would like to have that on mine :)

Re: EASA SuperStreams

YES! We would welcome full harmonization of EASA - FAA, and would not mind having our STC's administratively "validated". The trouble thus far has been EASA second-guessing FAA approvals and charging $$$$ to do their own engineering reviews.

Hi Jim,

Did you get any further with this G-BOLT would welcome some more TLC and a few more knots if that was achievable at a reasonable outlay.

Indeed. That is the same issue that has condemned EASA registered airframes to the dangerous repetitive disassembly of the elevator rib to perform the recurring spar inspection instead of using the COG's AMOC. Hopefully, the new sense of respect for each agency's work will permit future use of the AMOC without an expensive EASA engineering review as presently demanded.
