Hi All,

We have shipped all requests for 112 s/n 221 and subsequent serials and models. The 112's sub s/n 221 use a different part number. We need to run an installation check for those airplanes. Is anyone interested in a free set in return for helping us check the new collars in any 112 s/n 1 thru 220?

The new PayPal-based process did save time and money, although, as with all software, there were some disappointments. About 75% of you paid by PayPal account or cc via PayPal. The 25% who asked for conventional handling probably cost us roughly twice the total time it cost to handle the entire 75% through PayPal. All in all, it worked well enough in streamlining our process that for future special offers we will set two prices: regular, and then lower for using the PayPal process.

Hi All,

Today an owner reported installing a new collar and finding no difference between the new and old.

Allow me clarify:

The controls geometry requires the collar to move as the yoke shaft slides in and out, and safety margins must be maintained on collar ID to prevent drag in the controls. Thus, there are no dimensional changes from the old to the new, only a change of material to make the parts more "slippery". The usual complaints about old collars are that either (a) they are dragging, or (b) they have cracked.
