All Good Things

Here's the final count of available items. I have some spare parts that I might be able to assemble into somemore landing light kits, or flap gap seal kits, if any of you are in a pinch. After the 31st you will no longer be able to order from the RCM website.

9 Early model gas spring door stay kits
3 Baggage door gas spring door stay kits
5 Stinger lens kits
2 Wing root fairing kits
1 114 Turbonormalizer System
1 Pair fiberglass short nose gear doors
Miscellaneous 112 & 114 turbonormalizer parts

Hi Carl,
Just ordered the baggage door gas spring to complete my plane (already installed the cabin door ones)...Thanks for all you have done for COG, it's much appreciated!

Thanks John. It's been a pleasure.

Sorry for the fleet owners that you are retiring Carl. But, enjoy your new horizons! I did not see any reference to the firewall reinforcement kit. I would be interested in those if still available. Good luck!

I think I have a couple of those still on my shelf. PM me, and I'll try to help you out.

Carl, what is this firewall reinforcement kit ?

There are a couple parts that were added, by the factory, to the firewall on the 112's at around serial number 380. All of the earlier S/N's should have them added, but not all have. I have the drawings, and tooling to make them, as part of the Hot Shot system.

Just as a reminder for those who haven’t seen the earlier threads…. The early 112’s had a problem area on the firewall wherein said firewall tended to crack in the vicinity of certain engine mounts. An approved patch/reinforcement was developed by the factory. Many early models have been updated in the course of history. Something to do if yours missed the update. Not complicated nor expensive (unless taken to certain shops for the retrofit.)

Think the factory addition happened after s/n 380. 3TC was an s/n in the mid-400s and I had to update after I acquired her.

Not sure which “stay kit” I need for a 76 Commander 112-TC Serial 13095 ..but I’d like a set of those for the main L/R Doors and if you still have a landing light bracket set, I’d take a set of those also!!!

I’ll try and call ya tomorrow … dealing with a sick & hurt family dog daily currently that is all encompassing but I’ll put a note in my calendar to reach out tomorrow….

I’d definitely like both, if you still have a set of each.

Phil

Sounds good. Yes, I have both.
