2012

Re: 2012

Old Rheinbeck still does shows.

Hey in all the discussion about activities at Fly Ins how come no one mentions atmosphere for romance?

Are Ian C and Lonnie the only romantics in the group along with me?

Hey as long as we're talking East fly ins remember we thought Jekyll Island again would be worth a repeat fly in.

Sid ... that vision of you, Ian & Lonnie all together, feeling romantic, has completely destroyed any visions of romance I could ever have at a COG Fly-In! (EEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW. technical term.)

Re: 2012

Ian,
You were at 10,000', IMC and following Pete in a descent. Very very close to Pete's tail. When you are that close to Pete, there will be stories even in Alaska. I think you were seen with drinking with Lonnie that night.

Re: 2012

I thought we had an agreement, what happened in Alaska stays in Alasky?:D
Troublemakers!:p:p:p

Re: 2012

Hi All

Another possibility is the Black Hills South Dakota area
Lots to see for the better halves
Custer KCUT is 2 miles to hotel, close to Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Hot Springs, Custer's Last Stand. Aircraft parking could be a problem tho

Great fly-out to the Badlands, Jackson Hole Yankton

Just a thought

Rick

Re: 2012

Sounds like a capital idea Rick.

Yup. I would be all over that! I was going to make that trip anyway.

Re: 2012

Are there any plans for a Fly-In this year?
There must be some ideas floating around.

Re: 2012

I am booking stuff in September. Can't we make a decision on weekend, if not place? Who is in charge this hear.

Re: 2012

Sep 29 works for me.

Re: 2012

Todd,
Sept 29 is the best date I have heard. I'm in

Re: 2012

29th is good ... unless maybe if it is in the Dakotas. Might want to move up a week or two?

Re: 2012

What about location? Central? Ideas? Might get a great turnout in the middle.

Maybe CGI! We could all park around the old CPAC hanger and block the city's access. Then, perhaps load all Commanders with spare parts and fly away...

Oklahoma City? Historic from the Commander view. Might find old mechanics or engineers as speakers.

How about Big Piney? Well, that might be almost West and might be too much for Robin's health, but would be great.

Just halucinating... Anyone with a normal idea for a Central location should step in here...

Regards,
Alan

Re: 2012

I thought there was already a crew working on various locations?

Re: 2012

Yes, several locations are being considered. Should have something shortly so stay tuned.

Re: 2012

Niagra Falls, NY!

Lots of hotels, over fly the falls, international flight to Toronto or St Catharines. The Falls! Big airport and loads of ramp space.

I second that. :)

Re: 2012

Niagra Falls would be perfect!

Re: 2012

On second thoughts our brothers from the West Coast will have a very long journey to KIAG. Its almost 1200miles from Tx. and that a whole day of flying to get there from Tx. I will go with the Sourth Dakota option just for the sake of the members in the West Coast.
