Re: 2012

Nice to hear from you Rick. And we'll do our best but whatever dates we pick will always not work for some.

Re: 2012

Niagra Falls, NY!

Lots of hotels, over fly the falls, international flight to Toronto or St Catharines. The Falls! Big airport and loads of ramp space.

nice idea

Re: 2012

OK, troops... look for an announcement next week. Looking like the week of 9/10 w/ the formal fly-in weekend activities 9/14 - 9/16. Usual fun, frivolity, and fly-outs earlier in the week including the COG Open golf tournament. More specifics very soon.

Re: 2012

nice idea

My Step-Dad of 31 years lives in Lockport, 20 miles east of IAG (Niagara.) He was Base Commander for the Guard unit there for years and the Ops center there is named after him. (Col. LJ Donner.) Tons of ramp space, good FBO, good restaurant. Been in there 100 times. Having said all that, Niagara Falls, NY, the American side, has gotten pretty ratty. They lost so much industry there that the city has fallen on pretty hard times. just not much nice to say about in now, from a tourist point of view, other than the falls itself. Well, they do have a casino now. There are some good wine tour areas on both the US and Canadian side that I suppose the spouses might like. Some good history, But all things considered, I am not seeing this as a big hit with the COG gang.

Re: 2012

Scott,

On the Canadian side, there are tons of hotels, casinos, water parks, wineries, restaurants, etc. Perhaps a fly in to AIG with a quick drive to the Canadian side. Alternatively, we could fly into St. Catherines (CYSN), which is a short drive to Niagara Falls.
