Don't forget to practice landing without using the brakes. Numerous COG members have landed at Alton Bay. I'm not one of them. Sven, Radu, I think Hopkins, and others. Years ago.

I hope you read the safety label to make sure it was suitable for use on aluminum. Some of that stuff can do more damage than good.

There are a lot of folks around here landing at Kennedy, LaGuardia, and Newark, sometimes two or all three in the same day. I'm told they won't allow touch-and-go, so you actually have to land full stop, then taxi back around for departure.

Let's just get some stickers for this year, that we can slap onto plain mugs from Walmart. :rolleyes:

Yeah, kind of mixed thoughts on this change. It now falls on the week preceding Mother's Day, and I was planning to be in FL that weekend anyway. I just wasn't planning on a week in the Florida sunshine of early May. It does screw up my flights, and even though the airfare early that week is...

... the sealant in the tanks, the o-rings in various locations in the fuel delivery system, the hoses connecting to the engine. All those have to be certified for the new fuel. I'm reasonably sure the metal itself is fine.

Just make sure you have plenty of renter's insurance. If anything happens there will always be a way for the school and/or their insurer to come after you. As for using your own airplane, I know some schools will do so if they are added to your policy as "additional insured". To my knowledge...

Interesting, though will need a new battery charger/maintainer. Even though it's TSO, since it's lighter that might require a 337 (due to change of weight/balance). I also have to wonder about whether losing weight that far aft is such a good thing, particularly since the 114 is nose-heavy...
