    Hello Jean-Yves,

I only did a small run for the group as it was something I wanted and more affordable to do in a larger batch. If you search the forums on this site, you can find others who are utilizing Cygnet and have done adapters themselves or machine shops.

    Good luck

    Dean
    Hey Deen,

Hope you are doing well today. I would complain about the cold weather here in Texas but that's a moot point with you in Denver, LOL. I was just following up to see if you had any luck finding your old trim switch. There is no hurry, just checking.

    I appreciate you even offering.

    Thanks

Dean, it sounds like you've replaced the steering cables. on your plane. My mechanic was able to make the two shorter cables that attach through the bungee to the nose wheel. These were the only ones getting frayed. Our question is how tight should these be? To attach the cables to the nose gear, the wheel needed to be turned towards that side. Otherwise they seemed about 1/4" too short even with the inner spring stretched out. Is this ok?

    Thanks, Chip

Chip - I was in a bind time-wise and my shop did the work - so I can't speak to that knowledge. You can post the question to the group or you guys can talk to Adam or Bill at Mile High Aircraft at Colorado Air & Space Port (used to be Front Range Airport).

Let me know if you need help.

i did do cygnet. Not cheap. The yoke pair i recall came to ~$1300 each with : PTT , Autopilot Disconnect, Trim. So about $2700 for those. In addition you will need adapters - these will have to be manufactured - i reverse engineered mine from our yoke dimensions. They weren't cheap to make - about $500 ea x 2. So this was about a $4K project all done. vs - you can leather wrap pre-existing yokes for a few hundred. I may have spare yokes to sell if thats the route you take. If i were to do it again - i would do cygnet again. I helped one other board member do his. So when i made my adapters, i got 4 done instead of 2. No one else on the board wanted them.

I saw this place in San Antonio: https://customizer.aerocomfort.com/wheel?make=mooney&style=201

It would be about $800 each - plus I would want to add new switches - mine are old and might as well replace them since all would be off and out of the plane.

I like the look of the Cygnet - but - it takes some coins LOL

    Thanks
