Carl thanks for the place card! My computer went kablewy and I lost all my contacts. Then I remembered I can reach you here. I got to thinking maybe it wasn't a hotshot sticker at all then one day there it is. Anyway I'm grateful! Thanks
Re: Registration for the 2015 Fly-in is live!
Looking forward to it after having to drop my plans last year. Looks like 1500 mile run. Should be a 1 day 8 hr air time weather permitting inbound usually a big tail wind east bound at hotshot altitudes. Heck I did a 13 hr flight time day west...
Re: Photo shoot over the North Cascade Range
Your welcome Bob, I see your in Tyler. I know a Bonanza pilot there Bob Gentry you know him? He sold his Bonanza to a guy here then I bought half share. I flew his Bonanza 35 for about 4 yrs. We needed to sell her and he flew up here and bought her...
Re: Photo shoot over the North Cascade Range
I was at 9000 and just maneuvering as we all where taking pictures and video hence the IFR altitude. There are several peaks around 9,000 in that area. It looks like I am higher because the tree line is so far below. I thought our tree line was about...
Re: Photo shoot over the North Cascade Range
Frank I was 50 miles from MT Baker if Baker was a VOR we were on a 91 radial. It looked like October up there kind of scary. There should have been 10 feet of snow left and melting fast but it's gone already.
Thanks for the concern Criag but...
Took a couple hiking fanatic employees over the North Cascades this morning early for thermal avoidance. What a perfect day, calm smooth, and jaw dropping beauty. I never get down this close to mountains like this. Its always blowing 50 knots and you all know what comes with that.

Re: The 20 second runway Commander style
Indeed Ken, I polished her shiny side a week ago for the summer flying season. She still needs a nice belly rub that's coming soon.
During a fly-in last weekend at home base they were provoking some pilots to do flybys what a hoot. BTW I had more people around my Commander than any plane there. No one knew what she was till they saw the Commander on the side. What a great looking plane! No she is a sexy looking ship I said...

My traffic is called traffic watch system I'm not home so can't tell you who makes it Monroe maybe rings a bell. It picks up everything within a 5 mile radius on long range. It tells you how many feet above or below and distance in miles from you but not...
Ah the flying weather is returning. Sorry you folks in the NE quad man thats nuts with all the snow I feel for you. This is a short 6 minute video of last weekends outing to the historic Geiser Grand Hotel circa 1889 in eastern Oregon. We have not got to do a lot of flying the past year I think...
Re: 112 Hot Shot
Sorry I did not make it back to the thread in a timely matter. To answer your question I took my ship up to 17,999 ft to get over the Rockies on top once and still had plenty of un-used turbo. It was March and -25 degrees up that high. She was buckin 50 knot head winds but...
