My Altitude hold on the S-Tec AP was wandering badly. At CPAC the electronics shop said S-Tec was really backed up (confirmed by a local shop here, as well) and they were afraid to pull it because it might delay my return. They thought it might just be the servo, but still advised waiting till I got it home, if possible? Advised looking at it back here.
AI checked today and servo is dead. Ordering new one. Servo is $1k. Does that price sound about right? Seems like a bunch for a little motor ... but then ... its an airplane, I guess. But jeeez .. you can get an altenator, a fuel pump and an oil cooler combined, for that!
