114 Elevator trim rigging Alan Blake Alan Blake alan@blakesmarine.com.au

I have a question if any one has had a similar issue with rigging the elevator trim.

We pulled the elevator off YLA to change the lower vertical fin rib, when we refitted the elevator and rerigged the trim we cannot get full down travel, the manual says 26 degrees of down trim and 15 degrees of up trim when starting with the drum pin in the vertical position and 3 full turns on each side of the drum. We have set it up every concievable way and the best we can get is 22 degrees down and 15 degrees up.

Everything works OK , she flies OK and the trim indicator is in the right position. Has anyone had a similar result when rigging the elevator trim?.
