Folks when I told my AP this story he almost call the Ambulance for me. Well I was flying this morning with my son to KAFW in Fort Worth.  We leveled of at 6500ft set Autopilot on and proceeded to close the cowl flaps. Guess what?.........................................

Push the cowl flaps closed the the airplane banked  left... pulled it back open and wings level. Wow ! my son said. Is that new? Yes, I said, but did not pay for it. Whoaaaaaaa. he said again. The story get more interesting. When I tried to pull on the cowl flaps thingy, yes you guessed right, it started to bank right. So just by pulling and pushing I could get the airplane to bank left and right. STRANGE.

So when I  got back to Houston I reported  the strange happenings to my A&P and he said, ^%$%$%^&  I don't belive this.  So I gave him the keys to the airplane and it was repeated able. Now I said %$#$#@# you see what I said.

Any way has anyone see this before?  I think the panel has to come down.
