While doing some interior work, I found my friction lock to have worn to the point it isn't very effective.  In particular the wear is where the bolt attaches to the airframe (metal plate welded to the side of the console)

Has anyone come up with simple fix for this?  I was thinking of just having a tack weld put on the bolthead.
