Owner Assisted Annual (Buddy) Ken Andrew ksandrew aviation@andrewtent.com

To All Commander Owners.

I am looking for a “Buddy” to join me in an “Owner Assisted Annual” at the Cape.

I am planning to arrive on Sunday July 29th. 2007 and start work on Monday morning.  The “buddy” and I would share rental car and motel expenses, and also share any expertise or knowledge that we may have. We would both save money and time, and CPAC would make a little more money. Two annuals at the same time.

My first choice would be Sven.

Second choice, a 112   Hotshot owner.

Third choice, a 112 owner.

Fourth choice, any willing Commander owner.

I prefer someone that knows more about Commanders than I do, but I would settle for any willing person.

I did an owner-assisted annual at the Cape last year and I learned so much that I want to do it again, and support CPAC.

Last year I was a little shy, this year I am ready to jump in and start.  Jeremy is really great and will teach us a lot.

Now, I am not talking about watching someone else do the annual, I am talking about doing the grunt work. We would have to help on each other’s planes and work together.  Do not wear a tie.

I have talked to Carl and he thinks that it is a great idea; both Jeremy and David would have to agree to it. We would have to post a daily log on the COG web site. For all to see the daily life of a $2.50 per hour apprentice mechanic.

I am open to any ideas or suggestions.

I think that an annual should be completed in five days; Carl disagrees, especially if one of the planes is in for its first factory annual.

Life is a barrel of fun.
