Apologies to all my fellow COGers for my absence during the past few months...I have been setting up a new business and it has taken most of my time...ok about 150% of my time.
Yesterday I managed to fly BOLT (with an instructor) for the first time in about 5 months.
My co-owner (a CFI) had some problem with the fuel pump switch tripping out on an earlier flight and the A&P thought they had sorted it...(mainly by getting a new pump at great expense!).
Indeed, it was fine on preflight and for take off. However, when I came to switch it back on when changing tanks it refused to set. On the ground (with the master off) the switch appeared to work - but as soon as the master was on it would trip again.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with the fuel pump switch tripping out like this and managed to fix it - or does anyone else have any suggestions as to what might be teh cuase so that I can reduce the time my A&P will take randomly thinking they have solved the problem.
Many thanks
Ian Harnett
