I am installing new fuel gauges, but having a difficult time locating a 2.5" place to install. I suggented removing the CHT gauge fromm my conosole since I have a digital replacement, but my AE said that gauge is original equip and cannot be removed. Is this really true? Can't I remove the original CHT and EGT from my center console (above the throtle and mixture controls)? I never even look at them.
