Shimmy Damper Rebuild? Rich Padula rpadula richpadula@access4less.net Hey everyone,

Boy, I need to quit working too hard and spend more time here instead. I almost forgot how witty Gary and Scott are! :-)

On topic: I can't remember who, I'm thinking it was Neal or Frank, but somebody a couple of years ago (at AOPA Tampa?) was bragging about a place that completely rebuilt their shimmy damper, even though it was completely shot to hell inside. Anybody know the place?

Last year, my shop said they couldn't really rebuild it. Replaced the o-rings and filled it, but I think they said the actuator rod/piston was worn too much and that it would only last about a year. Well, it's annual time again, and last month, right on schedule, I started feeling the shimmy.

Thanks,
-Rich
