Hi All,
Looking for ideas on how to narrow down my bad oil analysis.
Copper is very high and iron is high, It has been narrowed down to rocker bushings or a valve guide. My plan is to remove the rocker box covers as soon as I get some new gaskets in case I mess one up.
If I can not isolate the jug with a "visual and poke" around inspection I am looking for alternatives.
All the temps and numbers are perfect, if it was not for the oil analysis I would have no idea that there was a problem.
I am reluctant to rush into removing a jug as it would mean a break in.
Is there a way to change the rocker arm bushings without removing the jug??????? I have just borrowed a parts book for the io360 A and B series, so am not sure what the rockers look like for sure.
As you can tell, I have never been into an aircraft engine.
I am planning a trip that will put 70 hours on the plane so would like to get this settled first.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks.
