Exhaust and wastegate overhaul's Joel Schwartz Commander91gm commander91gm@cs.com This would be a good one to post in the hangar section.

A couple of weeks ago I found a leak at the turbo wastegate pipe. The metal had obviously become thin over time and it looked like there was a section that blew out.
I looked around for approved vendors to repair the wastegate and finally settled on Aerospace welding (952-890-1511). They have locations in both MN and FL.
I chose them for two reasons;
#1 - In checking their website they had the best parts blow-up of the exhaust I have seen. http://awi-ami.com/catalog.htm
#2 - They were half the price of another vendor I checked with (complete rebuild for $650)
I got the repaired part back today and it was a work of art. The majority of the part was new. I helped my A&P install it and it bolted up with very few adjustments - I was quite impressed.
