Last year I was getting 1/5.5+ hours/qt oil consumption. Suddenly I was getting 1q/4hr and less. Lots of blow by. On inspection we had a stuck1/3 oil ring, the other 2/3 was broken. on #2.

So, within the life of this engine I've had no less that 4 broken/stuck oil rings.

Any experience or comment to this welcomed, including pilot abuse. (who me?) No one I spoke to seems to have an easy answer to this.
