Hi All,
What is the thinking regarding leaving the block heater on the whole winter.
I have been leaving the block heater on 24/7 as I am flying two or three times a week. I may have to leave on a couple of hours notice so just leave her plugged in. I have the tannis heater on the oil pan. Today at crank up the oil temp showed 101 and then went down to 93 after start up.
Also, I recently removed the nose gear to clean it up and repaint it.
The scissor did not have the two washers as shown in the parts book. Between the two parts where the single bolt goes through. Had the outside washers but not between the pieces. Local A&P friend stated that parts books are not always right.
After much thought I decided to compromise and put just one washer in there.
Any thoughts and do I believe the parts book as gospel?
