I just disassembled the crankcase breather hose to replace the hose. The aluminum tube that extends below the belly into the slipstream is cut at an angle.

Now to the question - What is the proper orientation of the tube, angle forward or rearward?

It has always been on the plane with the angle facing forward but logic would say that it should be facing the other way.
