Got 43W back from annual Saturday.  We have so many mechanic horror stories, I thought I'd tell a good one. Besides all the regular stuff, the mechanic totally cleaned the plane, including the greasy belly, painted the prop, touched up the intake baffles in front of cylinders 1 & 2, cleaned up the gear and touched up the gear legs, touched up the cowling edges that always find a chip or two each year it seems, ... and a lot of other details most don't do.  Plus, for the first time in 5 years, I have step lights and baggage compartment lights. Too many things to mention, but man its nice to have a conscientious guy who does all little things.  I gave him $50 above his bill and he about fell over. I'm going to buy him one of those swell adjustable back creepers for Christmas.
