rogue hot cylinder Scott Sedam N4843W scott@truen.com I have had a couple of previous hot cyl. problems, solved by baffling and injector work. But THIS one is different. #6 ALWAYS want to shoot up way over 400 on takeoff, even a nice, cool 65 degree day. Just started up a month ago. What's weird is, that once in cruise and trimmed off, in runs 10 degrees hotter than most of the others, but nothing you'd ever even think about.

On takeoff, even with a moderate 500fpm climb (and yes, the ball is centered) I have to be very careful not to let it shoot past 420 and it will rise to 430 if I am not vigilant.

My mechanic is pretty thorough and has tried all of the "usual suspects." I am hoping something about it being just #6 in a climb will trigger an insight, experience or intelligent theory by someone. Sure would be nice to solve it before leaving on my 5 city biz tour through the south en route to CGI.
