No Topic Alexander Wijffels wijffels wijffels.a@rolmail.net Hi All,

Since engine repair and install the analogue EGT indicator doesn't work anymore. Mechanic said, 99% it's the probe, replaced it for a new one, no results. then we bench-checked the old one, worked fine. We checked the leads, also OK. Now it can only be the indicator himself, he said, but to replace the instrument, he has to remove the front-seats, the middle-console and the whole lower panel, a h... of a job. Until now we lean and check the TIT on the EDM-800, works fine and is much more precise, you just don't have that immediate one-eyes look. Is there any other way to replace this rudimental instrument or did we overlook one step during trouble-shooting? Mechanic says, it can only be the indicator, since there is no electrical circuit on the system, just the bi-metal sensor in the probe that signs direct on the instrument (?) We can almost do a panel upgrade at the same time for same labor costs. Any suggestions?

Thanks for input, Alex
