I would be interested in learning what the "average" oil consumption per hour one might expect from my half time IO-540 engine? Being a relatively new Commander owner, I have no experience relative to oil consumption for this engine. I am averaging approx. 1 qt. for every 7.5 hours and wonder if this normal consumption for an engine with this amount of time on it. If this is not within the range, can anyone give me their opinion what I should be burning? Many thanks,
