Manual Revision David Tubby Davidt dtubby9753@aol.com
I got a call from one of the group that own the other Commander at Scouseport whose plane is grounded because his engineers refuse to sign off a 50 hour check until they come up with an up to date set of maintenance manuals. They have compared my manuals with their own and mine are pretty much the same. I got mine from CAC in 2001 when I bought FT.
These engineers say that our CAA have put the bite on them and the owners MUST subscribe to www.atp.com at an annual cost of $500. No doubt this is yet another example of our Eurocratic nonsense.
My question: If we do indeed have to subscribe to ATP's service what are we getting for our cash? Is there anyone out there who can revise and update the manuals(seems like until CAPAC get going no one has the right or responsibility to do so?) or will we simply be paying this cash to get a copy of the manuals we already have???
