US 2020 COG Fly-in?

My Beech Aero Club annual event was just cancelled.... Gezzzz ... 2020 has sure sucked.

We are less than 30 days from French Lick. I booked my room at West Badin last week. Are there any”unofficial “ agendas yet? I would love to see a list of who is coming in as well. Thanks and looking forward to seeing those who are making it in! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Really glad to hear you are coming Mike! Been too long. There will be no official or unofficial agendas for this year as COG, as an entity, has no involvement the the Indiana fly-in. Will be only a published opportunity for some owners to socialize (from an appropriate distance!) We are all hoping that conditions will improve to permit a return to a formally sanctioned COG annual meeting in 2021.

We are working on agreeing to a phone app that might permit owners that do fly into FRH, in a few weeks, to easily communicate with each other. Hope to make meeting up while we are there less complicated.

Ok not at the annual fly in but maybe one for that reason possibility at a FBO that has done lots of Commanders. And yes even if it was sort of unofficial it would bring togeather other commanders especially new owners with a less costly approach. Just a thought.

There have been periodic “annual maintenance day” events over the years. They are not intended for annuals; but do provide new owners a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the care and feeding of their birds. Highly recommend participation if one happens within flying distance of your home base.

During normal years, we often have maintenance seminars during the annual fly-in. Those are not scheduled for this year due to the Covid issues. (As previously discussed)

In case anyone tries to book at the West Baden, they have limited rooms left for the 18th -20th for the fly-in. We booked at French Lick Springs and they had rooms left for $189 a night.
