Up set turbulence? Ouch

Re: Up set turbulence? Ouch

Tim at Pearson I only saw one airplane take off - it was bad for sure. Not a chance I was going to fly.

Crazy stuff.

I flew mine through rough chop coming from SoCal last spring, ~35 knots around our altitude (13k), around 30 on the peaks (mostly 8k to 10k). We did find a 2200 fpm downdraft, but otherwise the plane flew admirably through it. Previously I flew an old fat wing Piper and it would hit with a bang in rough chop, and knock your head on the roof. Commander is different, it seemed to yaw its way through it, not so much bump as wiggle.
