About time for a NY/NJ area breakfast meetup? I had a nice chat with a NY center controller on the way home last night who has a 112 on LI, who said he is a COG member but doesn't check the forums much. Does anyone know him? From the owners map, I would guess it's Brian McCann?

What did you have in mind? Planning by committee doesn't seem to work for a breakfast/lunch gathering. Best you start by picking a place/time and let us know.

Nope, it's not Brian. He works for a commercial real estate management company.

N1375J is a mostly derelict 112 based at ISP, owned by a female controller. Rumor had it that her kids were going to start using the airplane, but it doesn't appear to be moving out of its tie-down any more than usual (flat tires).

There are a number of other Commanders on LI, but we never hear from their owners and I don't know that any of them are COG members.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Weird, every airport has its junkyard of planes that never move sitting on the ramp with flat tires. I've never understood letting them waste away, just sell the thing.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

It was a male controller and I got the impression that he flies the plane.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

I'd be in - however - i just entered annual.

Also - i just relocated my plane to a hangar at Allentown Intl (moving to PA for primary residence).

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Mozzam; Allentown - Close E-nuf for lunch sometime. Once the weather cooperates with schedule. Been looking forward to meeting you!

Re: Time for Breakfast?

I would like to meet up for breakfast or lunch or both! Spend most of my time flying between KMVY KDXR (based) and KbWI.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Jerry- note our s/n #'s. Did my hi-perf training at BWI in Commanders 1978-79.
HOP-FLIGHT had contract with USNA-Annapolis.
So Commanders have USN military legacy + the B-1/Space Shuttle connection.
When in MD, I am just 12 mi from BWI-20 mins.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Just out of annual. First annual in a while where mech didnt call me with a long list of parts. Having replaced almost the entire plane part by part seems to be finally paying off. I 'll do my test flight in the next few days and then move hangars (already took possession at KABE).

Once Wx gets better sherman. Looking forward to it.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Finally got the wifi replaced. And a small android tablet. So far so good.
See a number of my attempted communications/posts didn't make it. Many of you characters more or less shared my experiences.

Anyway, I plan to fly down to Richmond /Chesterfield FCI to meet a Jaguar Club friend for lunch tomorrow.
Calling for crosswind but it is what it is or will be. Fueled up the bird today.

Then next week (March) will start annual early (exp 3/31). Want plane out of annual in case a C O G. PA link up evolves in April. (Lancaster. for Lunch???) or Sun & Fun becomes an option. Daylight savings time not that far off. Today got to 58^ so much better than the teens.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Any NE COG'ers interested in breakfast on Saturday (4/2) at The Perfect Landing Cafe (44N - Sky Acres Airport)?

Re: Time for Breakfast?

I will be in an all day seminar so no fun for me this weekend, but have fun. Weather looks decent.

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Seems like everyone is busy this weekend.

So, I’m going to go to the EAA Pancake breakfast on next Sat 3/9 (also my birthday  ).

Pancake Breakfast - Saturday March 9 8:30 - 11:00 AM - East Windsor, CT. Skylark Airpark (7B6).

Enjoy our hot pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, along with fruit cup, coffee, milk and juice. All you can eat for a $6.00 donation.

Hope to see some/all of you there!

Paul- sounds like the whole KRDG Commander contingent will be there on sat. See you then

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Great seeing you guys at Skylark for breakfast ... it was a great day for flying!

Re: Time for Breakfast?

Paul, we had a great trip to Skylark and then across the Long Island Sound to see your hanger from 6500 ft above. We then flew directly over Kennedy Intl and south side of Manhattan. What a beautiful day for a cruise along the Long Island Express Way, just 6500 above it. Congrats with the upcoming event in your life!
