During a fly-in last weekend at home base they were provoking some pilots to do flybys what a hoot. BTW I had more people around my Commander than any plane there. No one knew what she was till they saw the Commander on the side. What a great looking plane! No she is a sexy looking ship I said.

Looked like a great day to burn some fuel and go nowhere. Love those types of flights.

Re: The 20 second runway Commander style

Very Nice,
The uniqueness of our planes is a bonus / benefit I never realized until later into ownership. At 90% of the FBO's someone will come out and 'ooh - aah'. I love it!!

Neat!

What a beautiful Commander.

Indeed Ken, I polished her shiny side a week ago for the summer flying season. She still needs a nice belly rub that's coming soon.

Re: The 20 second runway Commander style

Brian.

I always do the belly rub first. doing the top first is like eating dessert before the main course.
A good creeper, box of nice white rags and a six pack of Milwaukees Best. Life does not get any better.

Life is a barrel of fun.

I do the belly last and there is a good feeling of acomplishment. I then use ProtectAll on the wax and clean the belly with ProtectAll after that. The ProtectAll does not remove the wax like the other harsh cleaners and the oil does not stick to the paint. Clean up of the belly only takes about 15 minutes. Do not get the ProtectAll on a tile floor, it is slick.

How do you know about the tile floors Pat? [emoji6]

One day i when to pull the plane out of the hangar by hand with the tow bar. One pull backwards and i laid stratal the front gear, the nose wheel in my crouch and i was looking at the bottom of the prop.
After that i do not spray the belly with ProtectAll in the hangar. I wipe it on with a rag.

Hi Pat,

Not near as dramatic, but I find my single wheel tug loses traction and spins on the cleaner/protector o'spray as well. :(
